Chris Hosbach is a northern New Mexico based ceramic artist dedicated to creating beautiful, durable functional pottery designed for daily use and the enrichment of domestic spaces. Working primarily with stoneware, he employs a combination of vinyl stenciling and precise glazing to produce pieces with a distinctive visual style that is both tactile and inviting. His work is deeply inspired by repeating patterns, especially geometric and Art Deco styles, aiming to foster a deeper connection between the user and the handmade objects in their home.
I create functional ceramics utilizing repeating patterns along with complementary color schemes. I apply pattern and color to my work through the use of custom made vinyl stickers.
