Curatorial Statement

Ceramic artists have long used traditional printmaking techniques in decoration. In recent years, artists have adapted those techniques in creative ways to enhance 3-dimensional ceramic forms. 2D | 3D brings together a group of contemporary artists who are pushing those 2D techniques to create both utilitarian and sculptural 3D work.
Participating artists include: Israel Davis, Arthur Halvorsen, Lynne Hobaica, Lydia Johnson, Catie Miller, and Margarita Paz-Pedro.
