Curatorial Statement
“For me, the act of casting is a symbolic gesture; it freezes a moment in time, recording and preserving forms and events that are impossible to relive. My work implicates the viewer as a participant, reflecting back the personal histories, desires, and anxieties brought to it.”
–Jeremy Hatch
Jeremy will be near the end of his first year at MSU Bozeman teaching ceramics and sculpture. Not a stranger to the Montana art scene, we are glad his station here is, now, of a more permanent nature. Jeremy straddles the worlds of design and art creating prestigious and pristine objects. As aesthetic objects they stimulate our imaginations and memories. As functional object they instigate curiosity, keeping us mindful of our surroundings.
Reception April 6, 5-7 @ 123 S Broadway, Red Lodge, MT
