Curatorial Statement
Linda Arbuckle, leading American ceramist and teacher extraordinaire with quite a roster of students under her belt. Linda never fails in her pursuit of function whether she is providing guidance to her current students/alum/anyone willing to reach out to her as a mentor or as a potter providing an unparalleled example of contemporary majolica. Linda begins her studio practice with human connectivity in mind, “The interpreted functional vessel brings people into personal contact with an art object in daily life. The transformation of common terra cotta clay into a resonant object points the way toward parallel transformations possible through the observed moments of personal life.” Don’t miss this Featured Artist spot in our calendar!
