Curatorial Statement

Brought together by Naomi Clement and Shalya Marsh for a short residency at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Maine in the summer of 2022, each of the 17 artists participating in this exhibition shared ideas, collaborated, and experimented with tools and materials such as laser and die cut paper, cut vinyl stencils, shellac, latex, and wax resist. This exhibition highlights some of these processes, and shows how each artist puts their own unique spin on these techniques.
